Girls on the Run of NOVA is a 501(c)3 organization with an operating budget of approximately $800K. The program is supported by program fees, individual and corporate donations, and sponsorships. Program fees are set by each Girls on the Run council based on the following direct and indirect program expenses:

Direct Costs included in the program fee:

• Lessons conducted by a certified GOTR coach
• End of lesson snacks
• Lesson handouts and materials
• GOTR practice t-shirt, race t-shirt, and water bottle
• Entrance fee for end of season community 5K race chosen by GOTR
• End of season award

Indirect costs included in the program fee:

• Costs associated with staff and coach training, and coaches materials
• Fees paid to GOTR International
• CPR certification and criminal background check
• Classroom rental fees, and commercial insurance
• Web site development and maintenance
