Readiness to Participate Criteria

While Girls on the Run® provides almost everything needed to run the program, the site is required to provide the following:

A safe, dedicated space for running:

This does not have to be a track. A field is fine. However, there is a need to know how far (how many laps) is a mile (approximately). Briefly describe the available running area:

If the running space is NOT school property, what entity does it belong to?

A rain site.

Indoor, private, preferably a gym reserved for GOTR and NOT in conflict with other programs. Briefly describe the available indoor space:

A Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach for your site.

To ensure the safety of the girls, GOTR International requires a Head Coach (over 21 years of age/female) and one Assistant Coach (over 18 years of age/male or female) be present at every practice. Sites can have up to three Assistant or Junior Coaches (Junior Coaches are 16-18 years of age and require parental consent to participate). One Assistant Coach can be designated as an Alternate Head Coach. GOTR NOVA can assist with recruiting coaches, but if you have someone in mind, please list below.
